The latest release from the Canadian/Vermont hybrid #WhistlePig offers pure Alberta rye nectar in a customized bottle fit for the modern #mixologist hustle.  Aged 6 years and final product from the late #DavePickerell, this accessible whisky provides proper balance of sweet and spice at a slightly heightened strength.  Slightly smoky like the beginnings of an overheated pan, peppery and savory, leaves the palate coated in a beefy layer of malt and syrup. We are looking forward to using the brands advice and mixing up a #WhiskyAndDonuts original #cocktail or 2 with this expression!

We recently visited the new Sunset Blvd. location of #BlueStar in #LosAngeles, where we happened to snag the last of their limited bake, the #vegan #mimosa. Consisting of a vanilla dough infused with #Brut champagne and a delicate glaze, this #donut beautifully hypes the subtle citrus notes of this WP rye.  Whether you are into crystallization of today’s #cannabis movement or mega fan to the blue in Breaking Bad, you will appreciate the sprinkling of candied orange zest atop this pastry.
